Advertisement for a Post-Doc position at IRD (Laboratory of Applied Botany and Plant Ecology of Noumea, New-Caledonia)
As part of the IRD 2012 post-doctoral programm, the Laboratory of Applied Botany and Plant Ecology of Noumea, New-Caledonia (UMR 123-AMAP) (http://www.botanique.nc/) invites candidates to submit their application.
A description of the project that the laboratory wishes to develop as part of its activities in the Northern Province,as well as information for application can be found in the attached documents. The proposed post-doc would aim to analyze the floristic richness and endemism of two potential quaternary rain forest refugia, as a contribution to the enhancement of the natural rainforests of the Northern Province.
The project will participate in habitat characterization in the Northern Province. Candidates may adjust this project depending on their competence and in accordance with the laboratory's activities.

The successful candidate will be based at the Laboratory of Applied Botany and Plant Ecology of Noumea, New-Caledonia, (IRD, UMR 123-AMAP) as part of a long term assignment.The project should start end of 2012.
