Biodiversity: Call for Symposia and workshops - Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia conference 2012 (27.11.12 to 01.12.12 in Perth, Australia)

The 2012 Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia (SERA) conference is now calling for symposia and workshops.

Symposium and workshop submission will close on the 27th April 2012.
New information about the conference is now available on our website www.seraustralasia.com including the full list of conference themes. Abstract submission for oral and poster presentations will open in the first week of April 2012. Please start preparing your 250 word abstract.

A reminder:
The 2012 Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia (SERA) conference is aimed at land managers, scientists and practitioners who work in biodiversity restoration. This SERA meeting will provide a critical international forum at a time of significance for the region's species, ecosystems and landscapes. The meeting will host an array of themes representing current research and global restoration practice concepts including the emerging carbon economy and contemporary thinking and viewpoints in ecological restoration targets.
Where: The inaugural conference of the Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia (SERA) will be held in Perth, Western Australia, from Tuesday 27 November to Saturday 1 December. The venue for the conference will be The University Club of Western Australia, situated on the beautiful campus of The University of Western Australia overlooking the banks of the Swan River.

Key conference dates:
· Welcome reception 27th November
· Plenary speakers, concurrent sessions and poster presentations 28-30th November
· Conference Dinner 30th November
· One-day field trips 1st December to highlight Western Australia's biodiversity conservation issues and providing delegates with an opportunity to view first-hand some of Western Australia's leading success stories.

Registration will be discounted for SERA members. To become a member, please register with the Society for Ecological Restoration and nominate Australasia as your SER Chapter Affiliation.
