Inauguration of the first Biological Security Laboratory in New Caledonia
The biosafety laboratory BSL2 within the Institut Pasteur in New Caledonia (IPNC) was inaugurated February 22, 2012 by the High Commissioner of the Republic, Mr. Albert Dupuy, the President of the Government of New Caledonia , Mr Harold Martin, in the presence of Mrs. Robineau in charge of health, Suzanne Chanteau, Director of the IPNC and all staff of the institute. This laboratory is dedicated to the diagnosis of respiratory viruses, study of the resistance to anti tuberculosis and research on arboviruses (dengue and chikungunya).
