SSH.2012.2.2-4. Climate change uncertainties: policymaking for the Pacific front - bid due in February 2012

This call states that its aim is to coordinate European based researchers with non European based researchers regarding policymaking on Climate Change in the Pacific Region. 'A network of European researchers should thus be created, which should also include European and non-European researchers from the Pacific and the Overseas Territories in the region...'.
The primary aims are twofold:
1. Make recommendations on strategies to involve Pacific and EU non-state actors, local authorities, parliaments and the private sector in addressing climate change
2. Define a relevant and forward-looking social sciences and humanities research policy agenda for the Pacific region. It is funding for a 'Supporting' Action -not research itself-, but the opportunity to organise events or actions that develop relationships and lead to further work, but at the same time with the outcome that policy is developed which makes sense for the Pacific region. Below is a list of the possible actions available for funding in this call.

The application deadline is 2nd February 2012. The European Union contribution shall not exceed EUR 1 500 000. Reimbursement rate is 100% of actual direct costs, with maximum overhead rate 7% of direct costs. Usually these actions should be completed in around 2 years.
